Albert Aiello

Albert Aiello Born and raised in Thunder Bay and proud of the city we all call home, I am married with 2 children and I want to do all I can to ensure a bright future for our children and grandchildren.

I have been employed with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay for the past 29 years and have served as their Executive director for the last 18. Working in a not-for-profit sector, I have learned how to maximize results while being resourceful and cautious on spending. McIntyre ward is experiencing growth and with that the benefit of expansion, but also the challenges of increased traffic and lack of infrastructure to appropriately address this growth. There is a need to look at overall maintenance plans and the implementation of a standardized policy for quality, as well as regular inspection of infrastructure.

McIntyre is long overdue for upgrades and regular work on our roads and parks. Taxation rates for our area are also relatively high in comparison to the services we are offered. Obviously different than the more established core of our community, we can no longer afford to be considered on the fringe. Many of our residents are paying enormous property taxes, yet are not receiving the basic services. Overall McIntyre ward continues to become even more vital to the health of our community as a whole. I would like the opportunity to be your voice at Council.
