Eleanor Ashe

Eleanor Ashe Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board began its roots of Catholic education for our community 116 years ago with my professional and personal involvement in more than half of those years. As a former student, teacher, principal, administrator, parent of five, grandparent of ten and great-grandparent of three children, being with and in this system remains a valuable asset in my present capacity.

As a trustee for the past eleven years, interest and commitment to Catholic education remains a foremost life goal. As a member of five liturgical and pastoral ministries, ties with church, home and school are clearly defined. Volunteer service with the above, in addition to association with community and municipal agencies have helped to focus and assist others in personal support as required. My tenure as trustee creates a positive balance in my life goals.

The privilege of being the representing member on all Board committees, has helped to develop a positive partnership between our Board and the stakeholders. Our governance model continues to strive in pursuit of our Vision Statement-Educating for Christian Values and Academic Excellence, with the leadership and support of a professionally dedicated administrative, educational and support staff. With continued energy, commitment, and devotion, another term as trustee would provide the opportunity to continue this extremely rewarding Catholic Christian ministry of service which places all students first.
