Iain brings a lifetime of public and political service to the people of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. He is currently in his fourth term as Councillor-at-Large with the City of Thunder Bay. He has represented Thunder Bay in the House of Commons and in the Ontario Legislature.

He is ready to lead our City. His message of growth is optimistic. He has demonstrated his commitment to making this a more livable city which can offer new opportunities and bring new businesses and people to the City and region.

He is Vice-President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and Executive Director of Common Voice Northwest. He is a former Chair of the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board and a member of numerous City committees including the current Chair of the Waterfront Development Committee.

Iain knows the city’s business inside out. No one is more ready than Iain Angus to take on the challenges of the day.

Iain is married to Marlene Lindsay and between them they have two adult daughters and eight grandchildren.
