I believe in publicly-funded education and that all students are ensured a safe, happy, healthy, equitable, caring environment that accepting and is best for all.

I have been involved with the education system as a parent volunteer and advocate for parents/guardians and students. I’ve been a member of the Ontario Federation of Home and School Association since 1985. Was elected and served as President at all Level of the OFHSA. I was member of Glaude E Garton School council and chair of Hammarskjold’s Council. Elected Trustee to the Lakehead District School Board, serving on most of the board committees ( Parent Involvement, Committee Aboriginal Educational Advisory Committee, Special Educational Advisory Committee, Audit Committee, to name a few).

I am a board member for EcoSuperior and the Thunder Bay Public Library Board. Volunteer with the Military Family Resource Centre. Was the Claude E. Garton Community representative on School Council and volunteer with Current River Recreation Association.

I believe in lifelong learning returning to College where I graduated with a Diploma as an Office Administrative Clerk.

I listen to people and all the information presented before I make any decisions.

I have three grandchildren one in school, one just starting his school journey and just two. We are education our future. I want curriculum for the future not the past.
