Dedication and hard work of countless individuals over the years within the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board have provided excellent academic faith-based education to generations of students.

If I am honoured to be elected as a Trustee I will work to strengthen this pillar of society and to safeguard publicly funded Catholic education in Ontario. It is imperative going forward to further develop the bonds between faith, family and education.

My background has prepared me to undertake the responsibilities of Trustee:

  • 35.78 years of teaching from Kindergarten to OAC following my university
  • Education: B.A. History, H.B.A. History-Sociology, M.A. History, B.Ed.
  • Instructed courses at the College and University
  • Taught Italian Heritage language classes
  • Published author locally, nationally and internationally
  • Participated and organized academic/cultural conferences (local, national, international)
  • Founding member and Past President of the Thunder Bay Multicultural Association
  • Past Treasurer of the Ontario Multicultural Association
  • Historical researcher for the Multicultural History Society of Ontario
  • Founding member of the annual Folklore Festival
  • Active parishioner and Minister of the Word at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church since 1980.

I very much look forward, if I have the honour of being elected, to devote my absolute dedication to the challenges and responsibilities that await the new Board of Trustees.
